American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) reports that Marci A. Goolsby, MD sports medicine physician and medical director of the Women's Sports Medicine Center (WSMC) at HSS has been elected President of AMSSM during its 32nd Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.

“I am incredibly fortunate to have had tremendous opportunities at HSS and in sports medicine as a whole, alongside colleagues who have supported me and educated me in many aspects," said Dr. Goolsby. 

Dr. Goolsby continued, “AMSSM is a special organization with high member engagement and opportunities for involvement in many areas. Our biggest opportunity is in our incredible growth and I hope to utilize our recently created 2030 Strategic Plan to learn how best to maximize our collaboration and cohesiveness as an organization.”
