Why You Should Do Butt Exercises Before Your Next Run

HSS sports performance specialist Ashley Fluger CSCS, CPT, explained that "the gluteal muscles include the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus, and [they all work together to] help stabilize your pelvis and keep your hips and knees aligned."

As part of a pre-run warm-up, Fluger recommended performing single-leg glute bridges to activate the muscles.
