Thomas P. Sculco, MD, surgeon-in-chief emeritus at HSS, and his wife, Cynthia, know the value of a good education. So when they found out that some students could not afford computers at Westerly High School, their alma mater, they did not hesitate. They made a generation donation so the school could purchase 100 laptop computers for its students. 

"Cynthia and I have always been very proud of the education we received at Westerly High School and how important it was for our future academic and professional careers," said Sculco. "So we were happy to do this once we learned of the need and hope we encourage others to do the same."
