Pelotons, Rollerblades and yoga: How NHL players are staying in shape without the ice

Bergen Record reports on how NHL players are staying in shape during the COVID-19 pandemic, and ways players can receive care at home for potential injuries.

HSS primary sports medicine physician, Kathryn D. McElheny, MD, explains that telemedicine has made great strides in recent years and athletes at all levels are able to receive treatment, such as physical therapy. “A lot of people doing telemedicine therapy right now,” said Dr. McElheny. "I think just the way that technology has developed over the last several years, but also just in the last few weeks, has been pretty amazing,” she noted.
