How to relieve neck and back pain, according to experts

NBC’s TODAY Show reported on how to relieve neck and back pain, which can worsen during the summer months.

Dana Rose, PT, DPT, OCS, SFMA, site manager of HSS Rehabilitation 75th Street, was live in studio and explained that there has also been a rise in the number of women with upper back pain. She was joined by Liz Plosser, editor-in-chief of Women's Health.

“As you know very well, our world lives in front of us. We’re always on our phones, we’re on our electronics and that lends ourselves to always being forward,” said Rose.

“We have to make sure that we pay attention to our alignment and posture, and use our upper back muscles so that we can balance it out,” explained Rose who added that these muscle imbalances cause the aches and pains in our upper back.
