Dr. Rock Positano on Aaron Rodgers Achilles injury

Rock G. Positano, DPM, MSc, MPH, DScdirector of Non- Surgical Foot and Ankle Services at HSS joins New York 1 to discuss New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers season ending torn Achilles tendon injury.

“The blood supply for that Achilles tendon will decrease by almost one third after age 30. That means less blood which translates into less elasticity, less strength, and more of a likelihood of a person who is around 35 to 45 injuring their Achilles tendon,” explained Dr. Positano.

This segment aired on New York 1 on September 12.
