Brooklyn Nets Tip Off 2020-21 NBA Season By Honoring New York’s Essential Workers

NBA reports the Brooklyn Nets are dedicating their 2020-21 season opener on December 22 to honoring essential workers who have demonstrated what it means to be “New York Tough.” Throughout the evening, the Nets will highlight and thank local heroes who have helped lead New York through the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and have continued to serve on the frontlines over the past nine months, including HSS physician assistant (PA) Peterson Exil.

Exil has worked as an overnight PA at HSS for seven years, and his patients have expressed gratitude for his ability to provide them with a sense of calm during the height of the pandemic when there were many unknowns about the virus.
