Arthritis Today highlights the use and effectiveness of meditation from the physician’s perspective.
Peter K. Sculco, MD, hip and knee surgeon at HSS, said in a statement, “Meditation is an incredible way to re-center the mind and body and has gained increasing importance in our always-connected daily lives.” He noted, “I do not practice meditation regularly but will take a few moments to close my eyes and focus on my breath. I think this allows me to proceed with the remainder of my day in a more peaceful and deliberate fashion.”
