ACR Quality of Care Committee Impresses With Its Recent Productivity

The Rheumatologist covers updates from the American College of Rheumatology’s (ACR) Quality of Care (QOC) Committee and includes commentary from Susan M. Goodman, MD, rheumatologist at HSS and chair of the QOC Guideline sub­committee.

The ACR’s QOC Committee has recently helped produce several resources to help rheumatologists deliver the best possible care. Under the subcommittees of Criteria, Guideline, Guidance, and Quality Measures, the QOC Committee has developed new sets of disease criteria, clinical guidelines, guidance documents and quality assessment measures across multiple domains of rheumatology.

As the chair of the QOC Guideline subcommittee, Dr. Goodman said, “The committee has stepped up in the past year during the COVID pandemic as we all shifted priorities to recognize our new challenges. This has been a great group of committed rheumatologists, working closely with the amazing ACR administrative staff.”
