Westfield Middle Schooler Starts Organization to Help Kids with Orthopedic Sports Injuries

TAP into Westfield reports that Michael Siroty, middle schooler, came to HSS after being misdiagnosed by a local orthopedist. At HSS, he received a second opinion and was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and ACL, leading to two surgeries and over a year of physical therapy.

According to the article, Siroty had a chance encounter with an NFL offensive lineman which led to a friendship that helped Siroty get through his recovery.

Siroty has since created JAMSPals.com which connects kids undergoing orthopedic surgery for sports injuries with college and professional athletes.
