Although the risk of injury increases as you age, the benefits of exercise far outweigh the risk. Partaking in exercise—both aerobic and resistance, when done safely and appropriately—helps to slow the decline of these age-related changes and can also help to improve quality of life, longevity, and reduce all-cause mortality risk.
