• Reuters reporters that Washington Wizards forward Jamir Watkins had successful reconstruction ​surgery to repair a torn ‌anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, the team ​announced.

Watkins, 25, was ​injured during the NBA ⁠Summer League in Las ​Vegas. The procedure on his ​knee was performed by Riley J. Williams III, MD, Chief of the Sports Medicine Institute at HSS.
