Sarcoidosis is a complex, multisystem inflammatory disease that can affect various organs, often leading to referrals to rheumatologists for their expertise in managing such conditions.
At EULAR 2024, Dr. Yee championed and encouraged the rheumatologists' involvement in the care of patients with sarcoidosis.
“I think the role of rheumatologists has been understated. We need to take a stronger role in taking care of these patients as individuals and as a community,” said Dr. Yee.
