During his 10‑month recovery, Devin found comfort in building intricate Lego sets — a hobby that helped keep him motivated and engaged. Inspired by the role Legos played in his healing, he became an ambassador for Pass the Bricks, a nonprofit that repurposes donated Lego pieces for children.

Devin recently returned to HSS to personally deliver custom Lego kits to young patients. One recipient’s family shared how meaningful it was to receive a gift from someone who had been in their shoes.

Now fully recovered and back to competing, Devin continues to support other young patients on their recovery journeys.
