Snap, Crackle, Pop

O, The Oprah Magazine featured HSS physiatrist-in-chief Joel M. Press, MD, in an article about noisy joints.

Dr. Press explained that the sounds, called crepitus, are typically harmless and common.

"Cartilage wears down over time, exposing joint areas that may rub against one another," said Dr. Press.
