Seven fitness myths busted

HSS primary care sports medicine physician Jordan D. Metzl, MD, addressed the "no pain, no gain" exercise myth in an article for Scouting Magazine.

Dr. Metzl explained that exercise should not hurt. According to the article, you should not push through a workout if you are experiencing a sharp pain while lifting or running.
