Portrait Celebration and Investiture of Todd J. Albert, MD, as the Richard R. Rogers Chair to Advance Spine Care

The HSS Board of Trustees celebrated the portrait unveiling and investiture of Todd J. Albert, MD, surgeon-in-chief emeritus, as the Richard R. Rogers Chair to Advance Spine Care.

The chair was established by Richard Rogers and his wife, Nancy C. Rogers, after receiving life-changing care from Dr. Albert and wanting to support his vision for the future of spine treatment. Dr. Albert specializes in orthopedic spine surgery focusing on disorders of the cervical spine and has an interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

The Rogerses are internationally recognized philanthropists with passions that span the medical sciences, arts, and higher education.

Their exceptional gift will enable Dr. Albert and his collaborators to pioneer new therapies and techniques to benefit patients and contribute to the training and mentoring of the next generation of spine leaders.

The portrait celebration and investiture was held virtually on October 13, 2021.
