Orthopedics from famed HSS make VIP presentation at Breakers

Palm Beach Post reporter Alexandra Clough features the recent 'HSS in Florida' panel event at the Breakers in West Palm Beach.

She writes that over 500 guests filled the room to listen to seven HSS physicians talk about the latest in orthopedic surgery, treatments and scientific breakthroughs.

"We’ve been working on this for a long time," says Louis A. Shapiro, president and CEO of HSS, explaining the plans to open HSS Florida. "But we wanted to do it right, not fast."

During the panel, George Paletta, MD, HSS Florida Medical Director, stated that he’s staffing the new location by recruiting HSS-trained physicians, identifying physicians who meet the required HSS credentials or finding HSS physicians who would be willing to travel from New York.

"We want to bring the three pillars: Excellent clinical care, education and research to South Florida," says Dr. Paletta.
