Crain's New York Business highlights notable Black Leaders in healthcare in 2024. In honoring them, Crain’s celebrates Black New Yorkers’ success and advancement, spanning industries from law and finance to nonprofits and the arts. 

Among the list of recipients is Bashir Agboola, Vice President, associate chief information officer and chief technology officer at HSS, who provides strategic technology leadership, oversees IT infrastructure and aligns technology solutions with business objectives. Agboola has successfully led technology initiatives that have enabled many business transformation efforts at HSS. His technology leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic ensured smooth patient care through the rapid scaling of technology infrastructure. Additionally, Agboola is a board member at the Center for Family Support. He has won industry awards, including the HMG Strategy Global Leadership Institute Award, and writes on technology and leadership topics.
