New York City Hospitals Face New Strain: Not Enough Workers
The Wall Street Journal reports that city officials are leaning on retired physicians and medical students to help as coronavirus cases continue to climb. With a sudden surge of patients, hospitals are grasping with the reality of how to staff for additional capacity.
According to the article, HSS has shifted nine nurses to NewYork-Presbyterian for a two-week shift with more to be deployed in the coming week.
