New York City has become the epicenter for COVID-19, find out what it’s like living there being a doctor!

CTV News in Canada interviews Canadians Alana C. Serota, MD, CCFP, CCD, physician in the Department of Metabollic Bone Disease at HSS, and David J. Mayman, MD, hip and knee surgeon at HSS, live on “The Aaron Rand Show” about their experience with COVID-19 in New York as doctors and parents.

Dr. Mayman explains that they hope New York is meeting its crest currently as it looks like it may be stabilizing in terms of numbers of new cases per day.

Dr. Serota states that she’s been primarily doing telemedicine but has volunteered for direct patient care.

“It’s important to be careful and it’s incredibly important to show our children that when they’re in the fight to fight, you don’t hide, you go out there and do what you need to do to fight that battle,” adds Dr. Mayman.
