More Older Adults With Joint Replacements Recover At Home, Not Rehab

Kaiser Health Newsreports that more older adults recover at home versus in a rehab facility after undergoing a joint replacement.

Reporter Judith Graham cites multiple studies that show that recuperating at home is a safe alternative including an HSS study from 2017 that was published in The Journal of Arthroplastythat found there were no differences in complication rates at six months or in functional recovery and patient-reported outcomes at two years.
