Dr. Sammaritano explained the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) guidelines for reproductive health is a great reference for providers. She said the guidelines cover, “all aspects of reproductive health for women in lupus, ranging from contraception to fertility preservation and fertility treatment through pregnancy, and including menopause and the question of hormonal replacement therapy for patients.”
