Let's Dance!

An Arthritis Today article reports on study findings from HSS rheumatologist Linda A. Russell, MD, who looked at the benefits of weekly ballroom dancing and exercise programs for those with arthritis.

According to Dr. Russell, the study found that nine out of ten participants reported less pain after the programs concluded.

Additionally, she noted that "ballroom dancing in particular brings in the role of socialization and that always has a very positive influence on people's health".
