LeBron James Is Making His Last Great Adjustment
The New Yorker reported on LeBron James' career and longevity as he ages, speaking to Sean Bryan, MD, sports medicine physician at HSS, about how James and a handful of other athletes have been able to extend their success well past the age when most players retire.
Dr. Bryan cited sleep and nutrition, stress reduction, and good recovery techniques, not to mention the right kind of genes as factors. But emotional intelligence is also key. The small group of champions who defy expectations are, by definition, resilient. They’re particularly good at responding to bad days, Bryan said.
