Becker's Spine Review reported that HSS researchers developed the first patient questionnaire to measure the physical and psychological impact of brachial plexus injury as well as assess surgical outcomes.

According to the article, HSS internist and lead investigator Carol A. Mancuso, MD, FACP said the questionnaire could improve patient care by providing a template for patients to discuss the range of impact of this injury.
