Crain’s New York Business reports HSS has signed a multiyear collaboration agreement with Lumoptik, an Illinois-based medical-device startup, to test and develop technologies to improve epidurals and other pain management procedures, in the October 14 edition of “Health Pulse.”

HSS and Lumoptik will evaluate the use of the company’s epidural needle-guidance system as a training tool, and HSS will also work with Lumoptik to develop other applications for the technology and conduct 3-4 clinical trials.
