Hospital for Special Surgery’s 39th Tribute Dinner honored Kenneth C. Griffin

New York Social Diary features photos from the 39th HSS Tribute Dinner on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan raising over $5 million for education, research and patient care. 

The gala honored Kenneth C. Griffin, Founder and CEO of Citadel and Founder of Griffin Catalyst. HSS announced a $12 million multi-year gift from Mr. Griffin to support a first-of-its-kind research initiative focused on transforming treatment for debilitating knee conditions at the event.

Steven B. Haas, MD, chief of the knee service was presented with the HSS Lifetime Achievement Award by baseball legend Bernie Williams and Hollis G. Potter, MD, chairman of the Department of Radiology and Imaging was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Chase Coleman, founder of Tiger Global and an HSS Trustee.

Dave Price, weather anchor for NBC4 hosted the event which also featured a special performance by five-time Grammy award winner Jon Batiste.
