Hospital for Special Surgery to open Hudson Yards outpatient center

Crain's Health Pulse reported that HSS will open a 15,000-square-foot outpatient center in Hudson Yards. The new facility will provide musculoskeletal services to residents and employees in the rapidly growing community.

"What we see in Hudson Yards is a development transforming a portion of Manhattan where there will be a very large population living and working there," said Louis A. Shapiro, president and CEO at HSS.

According to the article, the center will be staffed by HSS physicians and physical therapists, who will diagnose, treat and manage patients' orthopedic conditions.

"As our industry has continued to rapidly change and organizations have opted for M&A [mergers and acquisitions] as a way to grow, we're building our delivery system organically," Mr. Shapiro noted.
