Hospital for Special Surgery expands in Palm Beach with new partnership
Crain's New York Business reports that HSS is expanding its reach in Florida through a new partnership in Palm Beach that will help it tap a larger share of orthopedic patients.
The Upper East Side-based specialty hospital will now have surgeons practicing at Jupiter Medical Center, a 340-bed acute care facility with an orthopedic program that serves roughly 3,000 patients a year.
The partnership is the third in a string of recent deals HSS has entered to solidify its position in Florida, a fast growing state with overlapping markets. The hospital has similar collaborations with Naples Community Hospital on Florida’s west coast and University of Miami Health System on the east. Those agreements followed an ambulatory surgery outpost that the hospital opened itself in West Palm Beach in 2020.
