Hospital for Special Surgery Announced as the Singlet Sponsor for Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), ranked No. 1 in orthopedics nationally by U.S. News & World Report (2024–2025), has been named the singlet sponsor of the 2025 Front Runners New York (FRNY) LGBT Pride Run® 4M.
Taking place in Central Park on June 28, 2025, this year marks the 44th edition of the FRNY Pride Run, which has awarded $250,000 over the past eight years to a variety of LGBTQIA+-focused, New York-based organizations. Through this agreement, the HSS logo will appear on all race singlets worn by participants. As the official hospital of the Pride Run, HSS will also host a tent in the post-race festival area, with a representative on-site to assist in presenting medals during the awards ceremony. Additionally, on June 25 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the NYRR Run Center, FRNY will host a Pride Run panel focused on LQBTQIA+ inclusion and safety in sports. Jennifer O’Connell, MD, a specialist in Physiatry, Spine, and Sports Medicine at HSS, will offer insights on trans and queer affirming care for runners and athletes.

The annual event has grown into one of the largest LGBTQIA+ sporting events in New York City—and globally. Organized by FRNY in collaboration with New York Road Runners, the nonprofit that produces more than 60 annual adult and youth events, including the New York Road Runners’ TCS New York City Marathon.

This announcement builds on the work HSS has done in the running community as the official hospital of both the TCS New York City Marathon and New York Road Runners.
