Good Day New York

Rock G. Positano, DPM, MSc, MPH, director of the non-surgical Foot and Ankle Service at HSS, appeared on Good Day New York and discussed the importance of foot health, orthopedically sound footwear, and the book he co-authored, ‘Dinner with DiMaggio.’

Dr. Positano cited, “What people don’t realize is that a foot and ankle problem in and of itself is not life threatening, but it’s lifestyle threatening. As we all know, trying to get around with a painful foot is one of the most difficult thing in the world.” He further added, “One of the nice things about a foot is that because of the fact that it does show systemic disease problems, when a person does come in with a foot problem we can often pick up other processes and other diseases that may be going on. That’s why, respect your feet and love your feet.”

This segment aired during the 8am news hour on May 28, 2019.
