Tips for staying healthy and hydrated in the summer heat

Karen M. Sutton, MD, sports medicine surgeon at HSS, appeared on WTNH-TV, and discussed safe and effective summer workouts, and the optimal clothing to keep you cool.

Dr. Sutton explained the importance for effective hydration, and suggested exercising during early morning hours to avoid the heat. She also advised to wear form fitting attire that pulls the sweat off of the body to prevent overheating.
