Dr. Karen Sutton Named Chief Medical Officer By Federation of International Lacrosse

Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) named HSS sports medicine surgeon Karen M. Sutton, MD, their new Chief Medical Officer.

A team physician for U.S. Lacrosse, Dr. Sutton has been a leader in providing player safety policies and best practices for lacrosse athletes.  

"I look forward to working with the Federation of International Lacrosse and countries throughout the world to bring an exceptionally high and consistent standard of health and safety to our sport.  The role of Chief Medical Officer will allow a collaboration of information on lacrosse injury prevention, emergency preparedness, and injury management to be disseminated globally," said Dr. Sutton.
