Dr. Andreas Gomoll performs cartilage repair implantations at Hospital for Special Surgery

Becker’s Spine Review reports Andreas H. Gomoll, MD, sports medicine surgeon at HSS, implanted a cartilage regeneration implant in two patients with mild osteoarthritis as part of a multi-center investigational device exemption study. The multi-center study comprised of 15 sites, including HSS, involves 250 patients to compare the efficacy of the implant to the current standard of care - microfracture and debridement.
