ESPN reported on WNBA players returning from injury ahead of the season starting. The coverage included New York Liberty guard Betnijah Laney-Hamilton, who underwent surgery last year to repair an acute meniscus tear in her left knee. 

The procedure was performed by Riley J. Williams, MD, Chief of the Sports Medicine Institute at HSS and Benedict Nwachukwu, MD, MBA, sports medicine surgeon at HSS.
