Doctor urges New Yorkers to prioritize foot health
April is National Foot Health Month, marking a timely reminder for New Yorkers, who are walking faster than ever, according to a new study by the National Bureau of Economic Research.
The study found that pedestrians in New York, Boston and Philadelphia are picking up the pace compared to years past. That come as New York was also just named the fourth most walkable city in the world by Time Out.
As warmer weather invites even more foot traffic, one doctor is urging people to take better care of their feet.
Rock G. Positano, DPM, MSc, MPH, DSc, founder and director of the non-surgical foot and ankle service at HSS, joined “Mornings On 1” to discuss ways to prioritize your foot health.
