New York Post featured HSS foot and ankle surgeon Mark C. Drakos, MD, in an article about New York Yankees' Didi Gregorius, who bruised his heel during a recent game.

Dr. Drakos, who did not treat Gregorius, said "the bad part is you can't put weight on it. But it's better than if the bruise was on the balls of his feet because athletes rely more on that area for running."

According to the article, bruised heels could be treated with ice and anti-inflammatories.
