On3 reported on Syracuse wide receiver Calvin Russell receiving care from Martin O'Malley, MD, foot and ankle surgeon at HSS, following an Achilles tear. 

Dr. O'Malley has also performed Achilles repair surgery on athletes such as Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, Daniel Jones, and Kevin Durant. 

Russell suffered the injury in practice this week, Syracuse head coach Fran Brown announced. He is preparing for his freshman season with the Orange after arriving as a Top-100 recruit and is also joining the men’s basketball program.
