Build Strong Bones

Dr. Oz The Good Life featured HSS primary care sports medicine physician Jordan D. Metzl, MD, in an article about how to preserve bone density.

According to the article, walking at least 5,000 steps a day could preserve bone density in women aged 50 to 65.

"The repeated impact of your feet striking the ground is like strength training for your entire musculoskeletal system," said Dr. Metzl.

This article appeared in the October 2018 print issue.
