Allison Roditi, Chief Administrator, Sports Medicine Institute at Hospital for Special Surgery

In this Becker’s Healthcare podcast episode, Allison Roditi, chief administrator of the HSS Sports Medicine Institute, discussed her journey as a service line leader and mentoring the next generation of healthcare administrators.

“Sports medicine for me ended up being a very natural fit. I’m an avid athlete – I play softball in a women’s league in my town. I paddleboard, I run, I play tennis and golf. I coach my son’s baseball team. So being able to work and live a certain lifestyle was really a great opportunity for me,” cited Roditi. “I think my biggest point of pride at HSS is the culture and the people I’m proud to call my colleagues. I look forward to going to work every day. It’s a place where you feel supported and can choose your work and personal goals. We all live by the values of excellence, integrity, teamwork, creativity and passion. It results in a culture of leadership by all,” she added.

“I get a lot of energy out of working with students and young healthcare executives. Hopefully they get something good out of working with me. They bring a lot of fresh, new ideas and perspectives that I try to incorporate into the work that I’m doing,” said Roditi.
