After weeks of dire hospital conditions, doctors and nurses face their own mental health crisis

Townsend explained her unique experience transitioning from orthopedic to COVID-19 patients and how she and her team are remaining positive. She described her personal experience to that of being on a rollercoaster, trying to brace for the downs and hold on to the ups. "The beautiful part is when you clap them out," she said of the send-offs for patients who have recovered. "The patients love it."
