Healio Rheumatology reported that HSS physician-in-chief and chief of Rheumatology Mary K. Crow, MD, received the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Presidential Gold Medal at the ACR/ARHP 2018 Annual Meeting.

According to the article, the Presidential Gold Medal is the highest award that the ACR bestows.  

"My overwhelming reaction is gratitude for experiences that are meaningful in so many ways," said Dr. Crow.

"We are proud that we prioritize diseases that especially affect women including many from minority groups, many of whom are disadvantaged by their socioeconomic situation," she added.
