8 Sneaky Ways Your Stay-at-Home Habits Are Making Your Arthritis Worse

While it is tempting to work from your couch when working from home, Wilson explains your back tends to fall into a slumped position versus being supported. Your hips also stay flexed for longer periods of time, which can cause the joints to get stiff and tight. She recommends moving your home office to a table where you can sit in a firm chair with your feet flat on the floor.

Looking down at your phone can also put force on your neck. Wilson suggests to hold or prop up your phone, if possible, so that the device is at eye level.
