5 Ways To Improve Posture And Mobility While Working From Home

Jupiter Magazine shares five tips to maintain good posture and mobility when working from home, according to HSS physical therapist, Jorge Giral PT, DPT, SCS, COMT, CSCS.

Giral advised to use a proper set up when sitting for prolonged periods of time (e.g., positioning the computer monitor at eye level; keeping elbows bent at 90 degrees when hands are at the keyboard; and sitting against the backrest of the chair for lower back support).

Additionally, he recommended ways to keep moving throughout the day, to add stretching and strengthening exercises into your daily routine and to counteract any shoulder pain by foam rolling.
