15 Ways to Treat Your Feet Right

Dr. Oz The Good Life featured Rock G. Positano, DPM, MSc, MPH, director of the Non-surgical Foot and Ankle service at HSS, in an article about how to take care of your feet.

In moderation, Dr. Positano explained that high heeled shoes are not detrimental.

"If you're heading to a party or a job where you'll be sitting a lot, it's fine to wear a two- to four-inch heel. It's when you stand or walk in them all day that it becomes a problem. If possible, only stand in them for two hours. And if you just can't resist dancing the night away in heels, choose a sturdy wedge," said Dr. Positano.
