Becker’s Hospital Review names HSS president and CEO Louis A. Shapiro, as a 2022 great leader in healthcare, among a list of leaders who champion innovation and have built a solid cultural foundation for success in the future.

Those recognized have navigated their organizations through the COVID-19 pandemic and digital transformation.

Mr. Shapiro is noted for starting his role at HSS in 2006 and overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of the facility. He was also a board chair of the Greater New York Hospital Association and is currently on the executive committee.
